In Loving Memory – Stacey Amber Thomas
The West Legal Family has lost a beautiful soul. Stacey Amber Thomas passed away peacefully on December 24th after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Stacey was first and foremost a loving and caring mother to three beautiful daughters, Tina, Shelby, and Jodi. She inspired her children throughout her lifetime with her work ethic and dedication to her career. She provided an amazing example to her girls of how fulfilling and impactful a career can be, all while raising them to be the loving, funny, sometimes fiery, and overall successful women they are today. All three of Stacey’s daughters live by her example and are leading their own inspiring careers, in all different fields, to this day, with her youngest daughter, Jodi, following in her footsteps and continuing her career as a paralegal here at West Legal.
For over 30 years Stacey dedicated her life to the real estate community in Calgary. Over the years, she worked alongside many professionals, both lawyers and paralegals alike, who became some of her closest friends. Always ambitious, she continuously strove to further her education and knowledge in the legal and real estate profession and was always happy to share her knowledge and expertise in her field with her fellow colleagues by participating and assisting in professional development training through the Legal Education Society of Alberta. Stacey became a mentor and a reliable support for many of her colleagues in the community, often being the first one they would call if they needed a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on.
Stacey touched the lives of everyone she encountered in the real estate community – lawyers, paralegals, and most importantly, clients, leaving a lasting and positive impact on all she encountered through each and every real estate transaction she facilitated.
Stacey will be remembered for her incredible passion for her work, her dedication to her clients, but most importantly for her profound loyalty, love, and compassion in her friendships. We all are better for having known her and we will miss her beyond words.
