Gina Ross

Gina Ross is a senior employment counsel who was called to the Alberta Bar in 1989 and has been practicing employment law for over 30 years. In addition to her Bachelor of Laws, Gina holds a Certificate in Advanced Investigations Techniques from Rubin Thomlinson LLP.

Gina practiced for many years in the employment group of a large downtown Calgary firm before joining West Legal in 2026. She advises both employees and employers on human rights issues, dismissals, and severance matters, and provides counsel with respect to transactions, employee obligations, workplace investigations, and workplace governance. She also assists with contract and policy drafting.

Gina has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for Labour and Employment Law since 2013 and was named a Leading Lawyer in Employment and Labour by Chambers Canada in 2026.

Gina is Chair of the Board of Epilepsy Southern Alberta and is also a Senior Equestrian Canada judge in hack, equitation, hunters, and jumpers.
