Daniel Hrycyk

Daniel Hrycyk practices in the areas of Corporate, Commercial, and Residential Real Estate.

Daniel was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan before making the move to Victoria, B.C. to pursue rugby and later attend the University of Victoria. While at the University of Victoria, Daniel achieved placement on the Vikes Honour Roll for his academic and athletic performance. After graduating from the University of Victoria in 2014, Daniel spent several years working as a wildfire fighter with the B.C. Wildfire Service.

Daniel made the decision to return to his home province and attend law school at the University of Saskatchewan College of Law to pursue his legal career. While at the University of Saskatchewan, Daniel was the recipient of the Dr. Grace E. Maynard Award for his academic achievements. After completing his law degree in 2020, Dan moved to Calgary to sharpen his business acumen and attend the University of Calgary Haskayne School of Business to complete his MBA.

After completing his MBA in 2022, Daniel articled with a regional firm in Calgary before being called to the Alberta bar in 2023. Daniel gained valuable experience working at two local firms in Calgary before making the move to West Legal in the Summer of 2025.

Outside of the office, Daniel can be found spending time with his family and two Portuguese Water Dogs, fly fishing, or exploring Calgary’s vibrant food scene.
